Fly fishing is becoming one of the most popular outdoor hobbies in the whole world, and there are many fly fishing venues that already exist to offer or accommodate various anglers and fly fishers. By the way, fly fishing is an ancient and distinct angling method that is more commonly used for capturing various species of trout and salmon. However, today it is used for catching other fish species, such as carp, panfish, bass, and pike. Anglers are looking for a fishing venue where they think they can have a big catch, and one of the places where they can visit is the Eglwys Nunydd Reservoir.

Eglwys Nunydd is a large lowland reservoir located in Margam, South Wales that was initially constructed for providing water for the great steel factory at Margam and particularly for cooling the water used in the cold rolling mills situated at the easternmost end of the factory. The large amount of water used for the hot end of the factory comes from the rivers of Ffrwdwyllyt and Afan, as the water flows on the dock feeder. The lake is supporting a managed coarse and trout fishing fishery, and it is also used in dinghy sailing. The various species of fish that can be found in this fishing venue include brown trout, rainbow trout, and blue trout. The fishery site covers approximately 205 acres, with a perimeter of 4.2 km., offering a wide site for anglers to catch fish. However, this area is for fly fishing only.
